The COMPASS Advocacy, Community leadership, Collaboration, Equity, Long-acting technologies, Efficient financing, Resource mobilisation, Accountability, Transition planning, and Eliminating new HIV infections (ACCELERATE) Project (CAP) is an initiative that strengthens HIV prevention efforts by advancing policy advocacy, sustainable financing, and accountability in global health funding processes. Through the project, COMPASS works with civil society, policymakers, and key stakeholders to ensure HIV prevention remains a national and regional priority.
CAP focuses on three key areas: strengthening HIV prevention policies and systems, advocating for increased domestic resources to fund prevention programmes, and supporting meaningful civil society engagement in Grant Cycle 8 of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. By promoting equity, community participation, and sustainable financing, the project aims to accelerate access to effective HIV prevention technologies and services across Africa.
